We are now in month two and things are coming along nicely! I am already eating snippets of all the plants. I feel so smug as I clip off my organic basil leaves for salads and stir fries when it’s selling for $2.99 for a small bundle in grocery stores. I have been getting all my lettuce leaves for sandwiches from the seedlings for a couple of weeks now.
I just saw instructions for growing carrots in a jar, so am going to try those next. This growing your own veggies indoors is such a great idea. Unfortunately I went a little bit mad and spent nearly $60 on seeds last week. Obviously not all can be sown in my indoor seedling trays. Nothing breeds hubris like success!
